First time on market, this unique property has blue water views of both Fish Rock & Haven's Neck. Used by family members as a weekend getaway since 1952. The upslope parcel is 3.8 acres & has a 527 sq ft cabin with a deck, which was built by hand in 1957. The redwood came from Fort Ross lumber mill, located on a bluff overlooking the ocean near the Fort Ross store. The windows were trucked in from Petaluma. This camping cabin has no water, septic or power, but it does have a wood stove for heat. North Gualala Water District has provided a Will Serve letter & PGE is available at the property line, or continue off grid with solar & rainwater harvesting. There is also a possibility of building further up on the lot. In 2005 one of the owners considered dividing the parcel into two but decided not to move forward. A small area at the back of the property is in a coastal development permit exclusion zone but is difficult to access. A biological study revealed a small wetland on the north side of the cabin (a natural spring) & a seasonal creek on the southeastern boundary. Monitoring wells were set up to determine the best areas for septic. More info available!
